The last meal i had before i board to Mas to return to Kota Kinabalu. Dining in Seafood restaurant Sim Sim 88 is really affordable, a bowl of noodle full with Seafood (Squid, Scallop, Prawn, Grouper), is only RM8! This place serve no pork, and it has beautiful sea view from the restaurant. The place situated at Jalan Buli Sim Sim, somewhere near to Masjid Jamed. If you come from the town, you pass through the Masjid, and if you're not from town, vice versa. You can easily notice differences of chinese floating houses and malay floating villages. Find a parking and look for Bridge No.7 for good breakfast, (Dumpling soup, noodle soup, etc). Or enter bridge no7 then turn to your right and look for Seafood Restaurant Sim Sim 88, for fresh and super affordable seafood treat!
Century Egg- Dumpling @ Bridge No.7, be sure you go to the restaurant near the sea, not the one near the bridge entrance.
Seafood Tomyam noodle
Not a small scallop huh? i saw the workers peeled them off the shell, so fresh!
Seafood Wan Tan Ho for RM8, how can you ask for more?
A closer look at the scallop!
We have many surprises in Sandakan, especially the time when we see the bill. The prices of food is relatively cheaper than in Kota Kinabalu, and definitely than Klang. When we dine in Ocean King, probably the best seafood restaurant in Sandakan, the price is almost the same at Kota Kinabalu, maybe cheaper. Now i found another reason to escape to Sandakan once in a while, besides the relaxing atmosphere, and now also the cheap seafood treat from urban city!
Have you been to Sandakan? Tell me how do you feel about this city! Do u have any tips to share when traveling to Sandakan? Or Any suggestion for an unique itinerary? Comment Below!
